Academician Chang-Hsien Yang has received the 2025 NSTC Merit NSTC Research Fellow award(2025)
A member of our Center team, Chang-Hsien Yang, Academician of Academia Sinica and Chair Professor at the Graduate Institute of Biotechnology, College of Agriculture and Natural Resources, National Chung Hsing University, has received the “2025 Merit NSTC Research Fellow” award. This honor once again underscores his outstanding academic achievements and long-term contributions to the fields of plant molecular development and orchid biotechnology.
Academician Yang has devoted many years to research in plant molecular development and orchid biotechnology, proposing influential innovative concepts such as the Perianth Code. His research成果 have been published repeatedly in leading international journals including Nature Plants and The Plant Journal, exerting a profound impact on the understanding of plant developmental mechanisms and shaping research directions in the field.
With more than three decades of dedication to biotechnology research, Academician Yang has continued to address fundamental scientific questions in plant development. In 2024, he was elected an Academician of Academia Sinica. His exceptional research performance and sustained academic influence have been widely recognized by the scholarly community in Taiwan and internationally, and he is regarded as a globally renowned plant molecular biologist.
The “Merit NSTC Research Fellow” award is a major honor conferred by the NSTC to recognize scholars for outstanding innovative achievements in their professional fields and their far-reaching impact on academic advancement.
