In the September 2025 Academia Sinica Popular Science Lecture, Academician Chang-Hsien Yang presented "Exploring the Mystery of Floral Beauty," decoding the genetic regulation and evolutionary wonders behind the world of flowers. From the universal ABCE model found in most plants to the specialized Perianth (P) code model in orchids, he guided the audience through the evolution of flower shapes and the limitless potential of future agricultural biotechnology.
