Talent Education

Improving the education and deployment of highly educated talents and international industrial talents
  • (1) Highly Educated Talent Education
Promising PhD students or postdoctoral fellows will be selected to participate in short-term or long-term international academic exchange programs or international conferences. Those with outstanding performance will be recommended to higher education organizations, research service companies (RSC) or start-up companies.
  • (2) International Industrial Talent Deployment
Complete the studies of complex microorganism systems and characteristics of optimal complex microorganisms.

Academic Research

Building excellent international partnerships and promoting publishing in high-impact journals
  • (1) Promoting international collaborations
Promote bilateral research partnerships with the world's top agricultural universities and research institutions, such as the Kyoto University and Institute of Physical and Chemical Research (RIKEN), and promote publishing of international cooperation articles.
  • (2) Hosting international conferences
Host the global conferences (e.g., ISBAB, Taiwan-US / Taiwan-Switzerland / Taiwan-Japan international conferences) for strengthening the communications between the scholars worldwide, and promoting the achievements of our high-impact outstanding papers in plant biotechnology.

Industry-University Cooperation

 Transferring research achievements to industry
  • Establishment of international advanced plant biotechnology industries in Southeast Asia.
Open up the global market and export the biotechnology of orchids, rice and high-price fruits.

Social Contributions

Maintaining sustainable agriculture and improving food safety
  • Integration of multi-directional plant biotechnology researches
Utilize the knowledge of advanced biotechnology, breeding improvement, and plant protection to reduce the usage of irrigation water and pesticides and improve the production efficiency of agriculture, enhancing sustainable agricultural development.

Environmental Contributions

Improving research environment and expanding international collaboration
  • Establishing a high-quality research environment and promoting both international collaborations and applications
Improve the only nationally certified genetically modified crop test facility, isolated experimental field, and national genetically improved crop seed vault in universities, and promote collaboration with RIKEN (Japan) and ETH Zurich (Switzerland) in the field test of genetically modified cassava and with the University of Oxford (UK) in rice research.

Vision
