[Yau-Heiu Hsu] Virus-induced gene silencing in Poaceae using a Foxtail mosaic virus vector

A VIGS vector derived from FoMV was established for silencing a target gene in various Poaceae plants. It can be used in model plant Brachypodium distachyon, sudan grass, and several high-economic crops such as rice, barley, wheat, sorghum, etc. FoMV-based vector will be an efficient strategy for highthroughput functional genomics in important cash crops.
